The month startet horrendous. Meanwhile I was $4k down which means ~ 400 avg BI. Overall.

After this I got up $3k which meant I was only $1k behind my stand at the 1st October. I thought the downswing, which lasts now ober 2,5k games, would be over.

I was motivated to grind and to reach Platinum Star again since a long time. For this I had to play a big session on the last day of the month because I had to grind 1,1k VPP.

What came out? - Right, I experienced my biggest down-day ever in 180s, $1,5k and so made the month to a loosing one by the last day and pushed me back to $3k down since peak October.

Meeh.

Now I´m Platinum but really fucked up at the moment. I´m now BE since 2,5k games and 300 BI down since October. This sucks a little.

Well, here the graphs, although Sharkscope imitates a wrong view. I´m down about $800 this month. But you can easily see the last day of the month I mentioned...

First losing month since June/July. But that doesn´t matter and was quite obvious.

Furthermore university started and I have/haven´t so much time to grind anymore.

Because of this I started playing PLO in the free times to get some extra VPP and winnings.

First "big" MTT cash

Havent played the whole month because of holiday and festival.

Played the first time this time on Sunday an this was the result

We made a 6 handed deal and I got 2,8k..was 2nd in Chips.

July or "Running awesome"

July was simply awesome. Best pokermonth ever for me.

And this although I started to play a new type of SnGs.

I could boost my BR about 150% and hadnt so much fun in poker for a long time. (Of course, when you run like god)

MTTs didnt run well but that doesnt matter because I have no sample yet.

So I hope that I can prove this winnings in the next month(s) and at least hold 2$/game. That would be great!

I will always play some MTTs in my evening session now to get a samplesize in this games.

Lets see what August brings. Platinum Star is safe because of the the VIP Mega Month Promo.

But tonigh I´m going with my friends to Lloret de Mar for one week and after this I´m at at music festival. So I´m back in around 2 weeks. Hope you make your money while I´m away ;)

Unbelievable what´s going on at the moment..

Shipped a $35 and finished 2nd in a $15...

Even more would have been possible if I wouldnt have run so bad at the other FT...

But nevertheless its simply incredible what happenes right now...

Sunday recap

Only cashed in one MTT yesterday. Busted in 10/18 in the late reg period already.

But I had some time left and played some 180s....no bad idea :)

But I dont think that this will hold on the next weeks....running at 4$/game and this is really incredible and a little bit too much for me.

Other things have changed:
After a critical problem in my laptop I had to create a new database and all my old hands are lost. I could re-import them but that would take too much time.

I only need the HUD really and because I´m at a new limit with new regs its not really a problem.

So because of this I had to play 2 days without stats and I was surprised. I could play up to 10 tables more (26 now) and didnt have problems in making my decisions.

So I will continue to play without stats and only put it on to divide the regs from the rest.




Next thing is that I will play more MTTs now. 1-2 times per month I´ll try to make a MTT day.

1. I have a new layout which I found for free in the pokerstrategy forum.

Its very nice imo and makes the grinding a bit easier.

2. 180´s are great. And there is so much money inside. At first I thought "omg, what kind of upswing do I have"...
But perhaps its not really a upswing if you look on this statistic:

3. Here are the facts of last week.

Some things to this graph:
1. Wuhuuuuuuuuu awesome.
2. Why PPL? Because Scope is atm tracking some games wrong especially the MTT-SnG´s.
    So I decided to buy me a one month upgrade at PPL because there seemed to be everything
    ok. But on the first day I had my membership PPL tracked also wrong...
    It said I would be ~100 down instead of 500 up.

I wrote an email to PPL but got no answer after 3 days.
And yes, scope is not only missing games but tracking some wrong.
And a liitle bit is also caused to the rebuy tournaments...

So the only thing is to look at the good old bankroll after every session.

Atm I´m ~2k$ up after 650 games. Weeeeeeee :)

First Games

So the first games are played.
Although its very time expensive it makes fun. Its really different to win only all 2 to 3 days but that´s the way it is.

Well, if I Iook back....was is different in STTs the last months? Hehe...

If every week will be like this, I´ll be satisfied :)

But of course I know the variance in this games and I´ll be looking forward to my first 300+ swing. May be its even a positive swing....:P

Starting again...

Welcome back. If anyone still reads this :)

After returning from the dominican republic (11days; 11 days rain) I started again playing. Because I started at 16th of June my aim was only to reach the iron man in june to get the midyear bonus.

FTP was not very friendly and I dropped again 1k in about a week. (~50 BI, ~25 BI under EV)

So because poker is no longer so important in my life as it was in the last months, I didn´t really mind.

Then FTP lost its licence 2 days before the ending of june. You all know.

So now what to do?
$1k is freezed at FTP. I don´t know if it will come back. I have about $2,5k left.
Because many regs will leave FTP forever or just joining now to PS, the games there will not really get easier...The 27+ limits had been hard enough before this and BF and so I dont wanna play them.
So what to do with this BR left and the fact of no playing STTs at stars?
I decided to play the 180s.
Tried to become a student at pocarrs but they don´t want new members at the time.

So I push and push and push and try to learn from myself and videos and some reviews with some friends in the future...

I took a little break this month, my first one since about 2 years. I think this was a good idea because I was kind of pissed of the last months seen on the results etc and lost some motivation.

On Friday I will fly to the Dominican Republic for 11 Days and then I will start again. I´m really looking forward to this seen on the fact that I haven´t ever been in a plane.

Perhaps I will post a review here although I think that not many people are still reading here.

Sorry for not updating my blog the last weeks. Although I have so much time (I should have) I have played until yesterday to finish my Iron man this month.
There were days where I had no motivation to play; at the end of the month this became more and more.
Why?

Just because I ran under EV about 2-10 BI 85% of my sessions.
Its not just winning with RB, I´m down including Rakeback and only up because of the boni.

It´s really frustrating. Meanwhile I really doubt if I´m still a winningplayer. Of course theres always the argument that if you run so much under EV, your EV cant get (much) over 0.
And if you do that nearly every session...you know what I mean.

But meanwhile I don´t know if thats the only point. The problem is, I can´t find a big leak in my play which I didn´t had before or so what. I play nearly exactly like in Dec/Jan where all was good.


Now some facts: Because of the Black Friday the Tables are really reggy and bad in traffic.

I play in my session now 12+24+36. But I don´t think that this is often +EV seen on the good regs coming down from the 60+. But you have to hold the BC and get your points...mehhh

Don´t know if I should take a break this month but then my BC is gone and the 500$ boni is expired on 13th May.

A-Levels done.

Yesterday we got the results and only 2 people failed of 9x. Pretty normal.

Finally no more learning...especially no more chemistry!!

Now I have 6 months until I uni starts and obv enough time to grind....ohh I wish I would have hold my limit and could grind and grind...

The problem with the $12 limit is that it´s not really motivating...

Because of this I play the $12 and the $36 mixed atm...and I hope to get back because 6 months on the $12 aren´t nice in any way...(why 36 and not 24? next post)

March review/ Year-Graph

March started with the $12 and ended with them. I didn´t played something else and, if you remember, I don´t wanted to play this much because of my A-Levels this month.

In the end it became my best month seen on the volume. Why?

Because I gave up playing in sets and started to play continuously. So I managed to get about 1,6k games.

But what are many games when you can´t get profit out of them. So the whole month I ran between 30-70 BI under EV. It ended with -40 BI under EV and -20 BI under 0.

With RB I managed to get about 10 BI+ this month. What a hourly...
But it seems so that I have to be happy that I didn´t loose money again in a month. Oh man.

I believe in variance and that all comes back finally so I´ll have to grind and grind...

The regs on the $12 are pretty bad, only about 5 really good ones with >10% ROI which is imo the highest longterm (5k+) but its possible.


I would love to play on stars again but for this I will have to move up because I don´t want to loose my Iron man (10+) which isn´t bad. But I don´t know if I will ever move up...but poker without new aims is really unmotivating...perhaps you have some thoughts about it?

Little Update

Although I said that I won´t have much time this month, I´ll managed to get a high volume for me. This is based on the fact of playing continuously instead of sets. It really makes a big difference if you just playing once a day instead of 3 times or more. The one session doesn´t seem so long if you compare it to 3 sets. Of course you may say, this is normal, but I mean this from the mental side.

And I don´t know if I should continue this blog because just updating boring $12 graphs doesn´t interest many people. At least I think so?

Yeah guys, I can´t believe it!!

My first day since the 30th of January on which I ran over EV!!! Yeah right, over EV! Can´t tell you how good this feels. And yeah, feeling so good about this tells you exactly how I think about poker at the moment.

(another fact: My 3rd winning day since the 30th of January and first over 2 BI)

Will there be an end?

What happened the last 10 days? As I said, I went down to the $12 on Full Tilt and started to play them continuously and stacked.
Why? - Just because 16-Tabling in Sets sucks and doesn´t bring you many games...I have played in sets since I play poker, but I feel fine with the other way now.
And stacked because I can´t see the suckouts any more and it really helps me to play A-Game.

And yes, you´re right, it hasn´t stopped. What? -The downswing...lal. My Graphs look so horrible now...

But there´s nothing I can do about it...don´t wanna tell the whole story again. I´m also learning very much the whole day because my A-Levels are starting in 8 days. But I play 1 session every day to get a little bit off from learning.

As you can see I´m 40 BI under EV...again. Seen on the whole downswing starting at the $60 down to the $12 now...just hilarious.

Sorry for not posting the last time. But as you can see on the graphs, the luck didn´t turn around. And yes, I´ve done it: A whole month with only loosing days. Don´t know what to say anymore.

I think this shows all. Don´t wanna know where my EV at the 18mans is.

Now I don´t really know where my BR stands. I really don´t wanna know exactly. The Graphs are already pissing me off. I know. I know that I have something around 2,5k left..

So with this BR I can´t play the $16 18mans anymore and because I don´t wanna go down to the $6 (lol) I´ll have to play the $12 on FT again to maintain Iron man. Don´t know what will happen to my Supernove aim but at the moment I´m just pissed and don´t have much motivation for poker...

I have my first exam on March 18th and so I don´t have much time at the moment either. So I hope I´ll have more motivation in playing and blogging in future time.

I really don´t know what´s going on. It´s so hilarious. It´s so sick. After moving down to the 16´s I´ve dropped again 80 BI now.

I´ve lost about 70 % of my BR. From 10k down to about 3k. I won´t think of where I would be if I wouldn´t have moved down. Obv. broke, lal.

So the funny thing is, now everyone thinks I´m a fish when he looks at my graphs. Definitely fishy Graphs. Definitely loosing-player Graphs.

I´m down around 300-350 BI down now. I didn´t tilt. I reviewed all the time. I just don´t know what to do anymore.

For sure, there are other good regs who experience a huge downswing (just simplicity as an example). But they all have probably the BR and let say 500+ BI to go through. I had "only" (!!!) 300 BI and now moved down to limits.

It´s frustrating enough to loose so much money for which I will have to grind more than 6 months to get back probably. But it´s more frustrating to dropp 20 days in a row without one little winning day.

Oh wait, there is one winning day on Pokerstars.

I´m really depressed and frustrated. Don´t know what else to say. If someone has some advices that differ from "View your game"; "that´s simply variance"; "you must have big leaks"; "grind it out" then you´re welcome.

Some Adjustments

As you can see on my Sharkscope Graphs the Downswing didn´t want to end...

15 Days ago I was quite happy with having about 300 BI for my limit and riding on a upswing. Of course, I knew that there will be a (hard) downswing and I didn´t complain about the first 50 BI. But then things started to change..

No, I didn´t tilt. In my opinion I continued playing my A-Game. If you can call this A-Game after dropping 100 BI. I think there is always a little bit that makes your play not really better..

Anyway, I was meanwhile down to 150 BI and about 130 under EV. Just look at my last post, there you can see some Graphs. I don´t wanna post the whole downswing Graph, it just frustrats me. I dropped about 6k in the end which means about 200 BI and ran about 160 under EV. At the STT´s.
Although I knew that the variance gets higher and higher the more you move up in limits, I didn´t expect dropping so many...

Of course, dropping 200 BI isn´t really standard for a good reg at these limits. Although I knew that I´m not the best at my limit, I was sure that I´m a good winningplayer. I still think so, but at the moment the STT´s in this limit are really pissing me off.

Not only because of the many regs and so on but now it´s getting a mindset-thing. Dropping around 15+ BI every day make you going nuts.
Dropping more than 50% of your BR makes you going nuts.

So after 2 days getting off from poker I decided that I have to move down so that I don´t crush my whole BR.

I decided to play the $16 18mans and see what will come around. Of course, new regs, new adjustments to STT´s...but I think there´s no other way.

On Full Tilt I´ll play the $24-$36 to get the 500 points per day and to freeplay my $500 bonus. I don´t know if I play on Full Tilt afters this or if I switch completly to Pokerstars.

Some Thoughts

...to let you know how i run atm. You can choose wether it´s more sick to drop around 70 BI on Pokerstars and running in setups + suckouts or dropping 30 BI with a higher avg. Buy In and loosing nearly only against suckouts.

Well, furtunately I had so much BI for my limits. But know I´m over 4k down which means 100+ BI related to which BI you take. Now, of course, you say that this is not only bad luck and there have to be big leaks or some what.

What I think is, that I had a good upswing at the beginning of the year and that I´m in a BE stretch seen on this downswing...

I´m definitely sure that I beat this limit with a ROI that´s normal for a reg on this limit. I think i run pretty bad and atm and that this can only be balanced out by volume. Although I don´t give this much on the EV-line, it shows in such downswings that you´re really unlucky in the all in situations and motivations at least a little.

By the way I try to mix some 18´s in my sets just because there are more money in this games and I don´t have to wait this long until all tables are opened. Let´s hope for the best for the next week although I think there isn´t much space to get even worse. But I´ll remember to these words at the end of the week...
